Glenda's serene landscapes provide the viewer with a sense of peace and an escape from everyday pressures of life. Glenda's work is displayed in a number of prestigious corporate and private collections in the United States and Europe. Her work has been displayed on many print publications in the southeast. In Glenda's words,

"The world of art has always provided me with a deep satisfaction of self expression. Accumulated knowledge, plus the immense inspiration I receive from our beautiful South Georgia marshlands and live oaks, so eloquently draped in Spanish moss, inspire, energize and enrich my life. More recently, the beautiful scenes in the North Georgia and the Carolina highlands have captured my imagination. I view my painting as a very special language containing endless possibilities that I can share with others. I try to capture special moments in time that convey to everyone the natural beauties we all enjoy around us. Each season feeds me with a growing passion that helps me continue my joyful journey."

"Glenda Cason draws much of her material from the environs of historic Brunswick, St. Simons Island, Jekyll Island, Sea Island and the surrounding locale. These still lifes and panoramas depict the ocean, beaches, marshland as well as eye-catching floral scenes across the Southeast."
"The spring greens with wild flowers, the softer summer greens, the golds and burnt siennas of fall and the rich browns of winter bring renewed inspiration for my paintings, she enthusiastically states; The marshes of Glynn have long been an inspiration for writers and painters alike for their palettes are constantly changing not only throughout the four seasons but month to month, day to day. Even within the course of a day, they can change in their appearance. The mesmerizing landscapes are so enchanting that they have become a favorite subject for artists of many disciplines."

Glenda particularly enjoys painting the salt marsh landscapes because of all the colors they encompass. Her paintings are all created on linen which has a fiber content she prefers to use. Unlike cotton, linen has a long strong fiber that resists deterioration for centuries. Also, it has a texture that is especially suitable for my style of painting. Her paintings on linen can be as small as 5" x 7" or as large as 48" x 72", a true manifestation of her ability to scale landscapes in both small and large formats.

Glenda was born in Southeast Georgia. Her early artistic influence came from paintings in her grandmother's home. She studied under Bill Hendrix, a well-known artist and art teacher on St. Simon's Island, Georgia. His teachings and positive encouragement were an important part of Glenda's style and technique.

For years Glenda owned and operated Glenda Cason Art Gallery on Saint Simons Island, GA which featured her landscapes, wildlife and still life paintings. She hosted special art receptions three to four times a year at her gallery. Her work can be found in a number of prestigious corporate and private collections in the United States and Europe. If you have an art gallery in Georgia, South Carolina, Florida or Southern Alabama, and would be interested in representing her oil paintings and prints, please contact Glenda to discuss the possibilities.
